Frequently Asked Questions
Bounce houses are a great source of entertainment for any event involving children or adults. There are many benefits of renting an inflatable for a party. Inflatables provides children with a safe and exciting outdoor activity that keeps them exercised and entertained. Having an inflatable set up for the duration of a party insures that children will have an activity they can return to multiple times, keeping them busy for hours. However there are some considerations to keep in mind when renting an inflatable.
Do you carry liability insurance?
We do carry liability insurance. Our top priority is safety and piece of mind for our customers. One way we express this is by carrying liability insurance. Most cities, schools, churches, etc. require proof of insurance if the event is held on their property. Our recommendation is to choose a company that makes safety a priority.
Will the inflatable fit in my yard?
We rarely run into issues were the inflatable does not fit in the desired area. The area needs to be relatively flat, within 100’ of a power outlet, and there should not be any low hanging tree limbs or wires. If you have pets, we ask that your hard has been picked up prior to setting up the inflatable. All the sizes of our inflatables are listed on our site. If you are not for sure if they will fit, the safest way is to add two to three feet to the length and width and measure the desired area.
Can you set up the inflatable on concrete?
Yes, we can set up the inflatable on concrete. We use 80 lbs. sand bags on each corner to anchor the inflatable instead of stakes. We highly recommend setting up on grass when at all possible. The reason we prefer setting up on grass is due to using 18” stakes that we hammer into the ground. We feel this provides more safety for all parties involved.
Can you set up in a city park or other public place?
Yes, we can set up in a city park or other public place. There are several things you need to be aware of when making this decision. First, check with the city parks department to see if they charge park fees, or require a permit to set up a bounce house or other inflatable. Second, the city may also limit the size, location, and number of hours you can use the inflatable. Next, you will want to make sure there is a power source. A standard outlet is typically sufficient to run a single blower. If the park does not have a power source, we can provide a generator for an extra cost. Finally, some cities, HOA’s, etc. not only require proof of insurance, but require to be listed as an additional insured on the policy. If this is required, an additional fee of $125 is required to add the entity. We have found that most only require the proof.
Do you clean your inflatables?
Yes, we take great pride in keeping our inflatables looking as new a possible. Having a safe and clean environment is one of our top priorities. We want our customers to have the best experience possible. The main reason we arrive an hour ahead of time is so we can insure the unit is sanitized and clean. We do not want any of our party goers to become sick or have to deal with a dirty unit. We also inflate our unit periodically to give them a good scrub down.
Do you provide staffing to stay at the event?
Yes, we can provide staffing for an additional charge. Depending on the inflatable will depend on how many staff members are required to insure safety. A bounce house requires 1 to staff; a combo requires 2 to staff, a slide requires 2 to staff, and an obstacle course requires a minimum of 2 to staff, but 3 are recommended. Staffing is not required, but we do offer the option if requested.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we do require a $50 deposit. The deposit is to secure your rental and is applied to the balance. Our deposits are refundable; however we do ask you to be for sure you want the unit before you make the reservation. Most companies require a non-refundable deposit. We understand that sometimes Mother Nature does not cooperate or that life just happens. Our goal is to earn your business for life; not just one rental. One way for us to reach this goal is by understanding our customers and maintaining flexibility.
What are the rules when using a moonwalk?
We go over the rules and leave a copy when we set up. Generally speaking, no food or drink, nothing sticky, no shoes, no sharp objects, no rough housing/wrestling, no hanging on the nets, no flipping, and most important no silly string. Again our biggest concern is safety. We want our party goers to have a good time and not be injured.
What do we do if the inflatable is up and it starts to rain?
There are two reasons the inflatable can not be used during the rain. First, we are using electricity, and everyone knows that water and electricity don’t mix. Insure that all individuals are out safely and then either turn off or unplug the blower. The second reason is the vinyl becomes extremely slippery when wet, and we do not want any injuries to occur. Once the rain has stopped you may resume using the moonwalk. Simple turn on or plug the blower back in. Before allowing anyone to resume use, allow the unit to completely inflate and then dry off the surface with towels.
What is your weather policy?
We understand that Texas weather is unpredictable, and this can add stress to throwing the perfect event. The last thing we want to add is stress so we are very flexible. The only definite weather policy in place states we will not set up if it is actively raining, the sustained wind speed is greater than 20 mph, or the temperature is below 40 degress. If there is rain or wind in the forecast the day of your event, we will be in constant contact with you and together we will make a decision. If the decision is made to set up, the full amount will be charged and no refunds will be issued.
Can I pick up my moonwalk and set it up myself?
No, our prices include delivery, complete set-up, pick-up, and tax. Our moonwalks weight in excess of 200lbs, and we do not want anyone getting injured. Installation is provided by our trained professional staff. They will set up the rental in the most professional and safe manner possible.
